Afro High Fashion Shoot (Part 2)

A while back I shot a high fashion shoot inspired by African fashions. It was amazing working with the team once again. If you missed part one click here. One of the most interesting things about this shoot is that there were 3 photographers and 4 models. Therefore, like clock work we all took turns working with each photographer.

The photographer that I worked with in this photo set is Shaun Maddox, from New Jersey. He is becoming one of my favorite photographers. Shaun has an amazing personality and is very easy to work with. He also produces some amazing photos.

Can't wait to share more pictures with you all but in the meantime.

Rich K. Sanders| Men's Style Series

I had the pleasure of shoot with Rich K. Sanders, a Philadelphia photographer who known around town for his great personality and music connections. Sanders recently decided to work more with fashion. By getting more involved with fashion Sanders decided to take the "road less traveled". He chose to do a street wear blog where he would post weekly interview stylish men and see what inspires them and how they define their style. By focusing directly on men style breaks him away from the pack.

Catching The Rays/ Summer Sun

Great is the sun, and wide he goes
Through empty heaven with repose;
And in the blue and glowing days
More thick than rain he showers his rays.

Though closer still the blinds we pull
To keep the shady parlour cool,
Yet he will find a chink or two
To slip his golden fingers through.

The dusty attic spider-clad
He, through the keyhole, maketh glad;
And through the broken edge of tiles
Into the laddered hay-loft smiles.

Meantime his golden face around
He bares to all the garden ground,
And sheds a warm and glittering look
Among the ivy's inmost nook.

Above the hills, along the blue,
Round the bright air with footing true,
To please the child, to paint the rose,
The gardener of the World, he goes.

Drama

You know I love some drama. Everything about this look is dramatic, from the long denim coat to the stripped pants. Although all these items have their own unique look it was every interesting to see how Brain Brigantti put this look together. I think this look was on brand for who I am as a model; daring, unique and fun.

Unconventional New Year's Look

My New Year look was a little different. I wanted to wear something that was going to have a meaning. As we all know, the end of 2016 was crazy. It seemed like everyone was dying; not the best way to end the year. So for my look I wanted to it to be the death of 2016.

Obsessions Of The Month: September

This month has been an explosion of different cultures and inspirations that have left me gagging and wanting more. From sex to fashion. There has been a lot! So take a walk with me down memory lane as I reveal some of my favorite things this month.

3. Love Line with Amber Rose and Chris Donaghue

Listening to these two talk about sex and relationships in a judgment free, shame free zone is very refreshing as well as educational. I also love what Amber Rose is doing with the Slut Walk movement. It's very important for people to understand what this really means. So here is a brief video describes a little bit of the movement but I recommend listening to the podcast.

2. Sugar Babies/Sugar Daddies

Now I am very behind this trend but I'm not the only one. I've became interested in this topic after watching The Girlfriend Experience. I know all of you GFE fans are probably saying what Christine was not a sugar baby, she was an escort. And you all are extremely correct but when I started looking up this world that not many people know about it come to my attention that anyone that has sex for money is a prostitution, which is illegal. The more I looked into it I saw that there was a way to get free money from people in exchange for your companionship. Which seems like a good gig to me! Now in the Sugar Bowl, which is what they call their world, there is many different types of arrangements. Some people are just looking for companionship, others are looking for someone younger to spoil, and others are looking for someone to mentor and take care of. This relationships are called mutual beneficial relationships. Each party openly tells the other what they are looking for and if they match they decide to take it further. This way it complete moves it from prostitution, mainly because this people are actually in a relationship. Many of the sugar babies get into the relationships to pay for school, some are actually attracted to this people ( and here is a misconception, not every sugar daddy/sugar mommy is a disgusting old person that looks like they're half past dead, some of them have really hard jobs and just don't have the time for a relationship but they want someone around for companionship), and others get involved to claim up the social latter with the help of there sugar daddy. Here is a video to help everyone on the fence understand this world.

1. Fashion Week Favs

I've made a playlist of some of my favorite fashion shows. The best thing about the fashion industry is, it so big and there is always a chance to discover something you like. Therefore, here is a playlist of fashion shows that I've seen so far that left a mark on me.
Follow me on youtube. I'll be updating as fashion week continues.

Hot One!: Alesha Dixon - Dummer Boy

At first listen the song seems pretty redundant. but after the fourth and fifth listen, i wasn't ablt to put the song down. This record follows Alesha's 2008 album 'The Alesha show' which features the Hit 'Breathe slow' (Strongly Recommend) With it's sexual metaphorical reference and high energy performance drummer boy proves to be this moment's Hot One!

Janelle Monae Gives Face on New Video!

Janelle Monae has just released a new emotional clip for her new single 'Cold War.' Last night Monae was claimed as a trending topic on Twitter. However, I'm not sure if was because of this video or the 'So You Think You Can Dance' performance. Either way, Monae delivers on both. Check Out Cold War!

Top Ten Artist You Should Consider getting to Know

People often state that music has not evovled, and in fact it has gotten worse. However, it is safe to say that all is not lost. Aside from what mainstream media wants people to hear, the only way to discover & hear great music is on your own. The internet is an amazing window to all types of sounds and information from music ARTIST. ( Not people who sing anything because their label says so.Tune in to the radio for that)
Unfortunately, these talented Artist are only restricted to the internet due to not fitting into MTV or the radio's status quo. I picked out Ten New Artist who've recently released debut Albums and Singles over the year. These artist not only just sing their songs they are also apart of the creative process in their music. So without further ado here is a head start to your quest/..... No order

WEEK in Music

I definitely had a boring ass final week of July. so to keep from claiming insanity, I found some things to get excited about in music

  • Kelly Rowland has begun shooting Rose Colored Glasses (According to Her Twitter). As much as I think 'RCG' is Bland and better yet vapid, It still nice 2 see another Kelly Vid coming our way. Hopefully she took some tips from Gaga's videos

  • Speaking of Gaga, She has decided to release 'Dance in the Dark' as New single. - Btw that is my favourite Fame Monster record

  • Solange teams up with Of Montreal on 'Sex Karma'. The two can be see performing it on Jimmy Fallon

  • Check out Nina Sky's You ain't Got it (Funk That)

  • The Script has a new single for the UK called ' For the First Time' out sept 5.

  • Ciara thinks she looks like Janet

  • I actually Like Xtina's You Lost Me ....... and that record doesn't Santigold written all over it (unlike Bionic)
