The Wonderful Gaga of Oz

Lady Gaga took the stage this morning at Good Morning America. Once Again, she proved she is one of the best performers in the industry. No lights, no sparks, and no Blood, just a small stage and four backup dancers. This didn't stop Gaga as she combined multiple costume changes, stellar theatrics, and a cute little puppy to turn out a performance to remember. One can say what they want about her, but they'll have to face the facts, the girl can entertain.

p.s. love that she is wearing the bangs and oversized shoulder pads again

check it out.

Life imitates Art and ArtPop imitates...

Lady Gaga has been criticized since the start of her career for copying or rehashing material from other artist. This long list consists of Grace Jones, David Bowie, and most obviously Madonna. But lately it seems Gaga has been rehashing material from the new school, citing artist such us Britney Spears (she's still relevant), Azealia Banks and Selena Gomez. Yeah I said Selena Gomez.
Last week, everyones favorite Mother Monster performed new material from her new album, Artpop, Due 11.11.13., at the Itunes festival. A performance injected with inspiration from every angle of the music world. Waves of inspiration that got her in a little tussle with some popular names in the industry. The first wave of started when Gaga urged fans to bring her multiple oceanic souvenirs to her concert; such as starfish, seashells, and seahorses. which is cool, only if Azealia Banks concert show was based off of terrain-babe and not aquababe. Banks immediately called Gaga out, stating via twitter that the theme of her show sounds like Azealia Banks Mermaid Balls.

I will be providing a list of acceptable attire for #SwineFest throughout the week. Item 1: Seashells. Item 2: Seahorses 3: Starfish

AZEALIA BANKS ✔ @AZEALIABANKS

@ladygaga hmmmm sounds alot like Azealia Banks' mermaid balls.

Of COURSE gaga wants to play mermaid again..... Pffft.

Gaga responded with a Tumblr gif of Ariel, the Disney mermaid, frowning and swimming away. But Banks wasnt done, she tweeted back with "..Its just .... late."
This hasn't stopped Gaga from performing in seashells during her show, nor has gaga dropped the theme completely. In a recent UK interview, Gaga announced her inspiration for the seashells and lady of the water theme. 0:20

Sandro Botticelli and his work "the Birth of Venus" not only inspired Gaga's theme but Banks new song, Venus, which is on her 2014 debut album. Banks even openly imitated the photo on the single cover, uncovered months before twenty thousand thirteen leagues of Gaga under the sea premiered.

Banks has yet to tweet about that
Gagas itunes fest not only resembled Banks, it payed homage to other innovated popstars. For The song "Sex Dreams", the performance was very reminiscent of Janet Jackson and her 1993 "if" video. Jackson wore a similar wavy brown weave and black crop top.

In which, Gaga similarly thrusts and moves like a back up dancer in Janet's Video. Sex Dreams is a "fetch' song, However I kept getting Britney Spears vibes during verse one or two, where gaga would say "and I feel so trashy.... and I feel so nasty"

But even that wasn't the biggest familiar vibe of the night. "Artpop," a weird disco like dance record which also serves as the title track, simply started off as a breeze until I started hearing the flow of the first verse. "Its been said and undone, every beautiful thoughts been already sung" .....oops wrong song... But you see where I'm going with this. ..

Ultimately, there are so many artist with so many ideas. It would be a miracle if every idea was fresh and original under the tuscan sun. So Gaga, we get it .... well I get it. Art imitates life and life imitates Gaga. Yeah Im talking about the Barbs, Katy Kats, Belibers, and any more those fan nicknames that came out after Gaga announced her Little Monsters. And let us not forget the Katy Perry hair color makeovers, and Nicki Minaj's party city costumes that gaga inspired. Its not a mystery, Gaga inspired a lot of musicians and changed pop culture. As for now I guess she's taking back what she put out. We applaud.

Robin Thicke, at it again?

Whoa! It is getting hot in here so take off all my clothes! So Robin came out with this new song that is... sexy at the very least. I mean first it was with all the model running around in plastic and a really catch beat to blind you from the lyrics. But now it's just elevated to a whole new level. We can all here the lyrics now, we can all see what on his mind now, and we can all cry that he is really inappropriate now. But, the one thing that I have to say is, its a super interesting video and a really catchy song. So watch and listen, plus tell me what you think.

My Obsessions of the Month: August

The obsessions of the month was going to be no long but at the last minute it was saved. All because of one person that asked to keep it going and google+ it (so can you follow in there foot steps and do the same). Also, if you missed late month's click HERE! So, this month I have my top 5 obsessions for August!

5. Long Hair male models

These men all obviously have long hair and theres something about having long hair that gives you an edge. If they cut off all of there hair today, they would look like every other model out today. It would be wrong if i said that its just there hair that makes them so dam good looking. But its really a mix between there personallitys and there amazing bone structure.

4. Reality TV

I don't really know what it is about reality tv but it just has me hooked! Maybe it's the real emotion from the real people or maybe it's just the beautiful house they move in to. But just being honest, it's most likely the fights that keep us into a show. Well, what ever it is I'm in love! (the two shows i can't get enough of right now is America's Next Top Model and Bad Girls Club)

3. Back to School
It is definitely back to school season and everyone is trying to get ready or is all ready. I love this time of year because a lot of people try to look there best. Plus this is when people experiment with their clothes. Also Fashion Week starts the next month. Its just the best. Lastly, if you did get the chance to see our back to school post click HERE!

2. Bonnie McKee

Bonnie is like a super star that not a lot of people know about. She had album out in her earlier years but unfortunly it didn't go very far. So she began writing music for some of the biggest singers. Including Katy Perry, Brittany Spears and Taio Cruz. For Katy: Teenage dream, Wide awake, Last friday night, California girls, and much more. Taio: Dynamite . Brittany Spears Hold it against me. A fun fact for all of you, Bonnie wrote 8 hits that sold over 27 million copies in the last two and a half years. So with her new song, American Girl, it should be a hit. So lets help her out a little:

1. Lady Gaga vs Katy Perry
The fight is on and I love every minute of it. Yes it might be some friendly competition but I like to think not. For an example every time Lady Gaga is out, so is katy Perry and the other way around. Or like when Born this way video came out, a week or so later Katy's ET video was out with her as an alien. Also remember way back when Gaga had sparkes flying out of her bra and Katy had wipe cream flying out of hers. Hmm interesting, right? I think so! But I want you to tell me if this is just a coincidence or a case of a fight about to break out? Which ever it is, I have my popcorn waiting!

Wait...was I the only one that thought that they friend? Well what ever the case is, it got real crazy. So you know what to do. Watch the video and tell what you think!
